On the contrary, these borders are characterized by their “immense variety,” especially in Latin America where they are numerous...The symposium invites participants to broach the various dynamics which prevail in American borders, as well as the mutations and transformations these borders have undergone in the last decade, through different approaches.

  The Schizoanalytic Clinic

  La deleuziana, a journal that desires

  The schizoanalysis created by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari is critical-clinical. It is critical as it conjugates various knowledge and practices by freeing against all reductionism the transversality of the flows that trace a problematic. Schizoanalysis has profoundly influenced the practice of some important reference points in the social psychology of Argentina and Uruguay, and later in Brazil. However, this stimulating and favourable reception of schizoanalysis in South America is quite exceptional. Not only do we find nowhere else analysts who claim to be schizoanalysts, but even today it is largely ignored in clinical circles. It is in this perspective that this call for papers wishes to engage a presentation of the different theoretical and practical developments of schizoanalysis that currently affect the exercise of psychotherapy, although in reality this aspect is constantly overwhelmed. The aim is to identify the clinical perspectives that have proliferated in the wake of schizoanalysis to map emerging clinical practices.

  Depuis plus de dix ans, l’Institut des hautes études de l'Amérique latine (IHEAL) attribue chaque année des chaires à des enseignants et chercheurs étrangers travaillant sur l’Amérique latine dans le domaine des sciences humaines et sociales. Mises en place grâce au ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche français, ces chaires s’inscrivent dans le cadre de la politique française de coopération scientifique avec cette région du monde. Elles permettent à l’IHEAL de tisser des liens avec de nombreuses universités latino-américaines et de consolider un large réseau scientifique.

  Women and conflict in the Hispanic and Hispanic-American world (19th-21st century)

  Call for contributions to TrOPICS journal, no.8

  L’objectif de ce dossier de la revue TrOPICS consacré à la question des « Femmes et conflits dans le monde hispanique et hispano-américain (XIX^e-XXI^e siècle) » est de réfléchir aux rôles sociaux et aux représentations artistiques et discursives des femmes en tant que construction de genre (Beauvoir, Woolf...) dans différents contextes de conflit pendant la période contemporaine. Nous considérons les conflits au sens large : conflits sociaux tels que les grèves ou les manifestations populaires, mouvements clandestins ou politiques divers, processus de conflit armé (guerres d’indépendance, révolutions, rébellions, guerres civiles…), contextes éco-sociaux polémiques (usage, distribution et accès à la propriété et aux ressources naturelles, entre autres), luttes propres à la cause féministe, résistance et subversion face au système patriarcal, combats de la vie quotidienne (dans la sphère privée et publique, dans le monde du travail…), etc.

  Dispossession: Feminist post-pornography in Spain and Latin America

  Identification, rejet, fascination, trouble, libération, les explorations féministes contemporaines ne laissent pas de place à l’indifférence. Au sein de l’hispanisme français et depuis CHISPA, centre de recherche sur les cultures hispaniques actuelles et les contre-discours, nous souhaitons ouvrir un espace de réflexion sur les créations post-pornographiques d’Amérique latine et d’Espagne qui se réapproprient les corps et les sexualités, comme autant de dé-possessions vis-à-vis du patriarcat, en ce début de XXI^e siècle. L’objectif de notre colloque est de faire connaître des objets culturels marginalisés qui dialoguent avec et se nourrissent de théories, critiques et pratiques, le plus souvent militantes, afin de contribuer à enrichir un champ d’études indisciplinées (Certeau) en pleine expansion.

  The discordance of the times: Daniel Bensaïd and contemporary social criticism

  Século XXI: Revista de Ciências Sociais

  In January of 2020 will be completed ten years of the death of Daniel Bensaïd, one of the most important contemporary philosophers. Author of a work marked by original contributions to the broad tradition of historical materialism, it can be said that his thought contemplates the current needs of social criticism, both in academia and outside it. Bensaïd was concerned about defending an approach to contemporary society that took into account the need to avoid the theoretical and practical risks of dogmatic thought, as well as that reasoning attached to the positivist canons of a scientistic "objectivity". This epistemological "alert" is strategically present in the theoretical elaborations of the philosopher, informing his looks regarding time, space, the question of social classes and the dynamism and fluidity of social and political relations.

  Thinking Latin-American Right-Wings in the XXth Century

  This conference is the continuation of two previous conferences held in France (2014) and Argentina (2016) which saw the gradual emergence of a community of researchers working on the questions of identities, ideas, practices and discourses of actors and movements from Latin American rightwing. It is difficult to establish the precise conceptual limits of the rightwing because of the heterogeneity and plurality of the groups and movements that have historically been part of this family and which are thus characterized by the presence of diverse political traditions. It is therefore essential to imagine flexible boundaries when considering rightwing history and taking into account the changes it experienced over time. Our purpose is not to establish canonical definitions, but rather to contribute to set general frameworks for this field of study whose historical relevance and actuality are no longer to be demonstrated, but whose limits and fundamental characteristics are still debated.

  Letters between women, exchanges and epistolary mediations

  Première rencontre de MISSIVA (Lettres de femmes dans l’Europe médiévale, Espagne, France, Italie, Portugal, VIII^e-XV^e s.) dans le cadre des programmes pluriannuels de l’École des hautes études hispaniques et ibériques, ce colloque international propose une réflexion sur l’intérêt de l’épistolaire pour appréhender l’histoire des femmes. Il est consacré en particulier à la correspondance entre femmes et à l’émergence de ce que l’on pourrait considérer comme de véritables chaînes de médiation, ainsi qu’aux enjeux de ce type de sources. Dans quels contextes les femmes s’écrivent-elles et à quel propos ? Ces documents ont-ils une spécificité formelle et discursive ? Que révèlent les lettres de femmes des liens qu’elles entretiennent avec leurs correspondants ? Que nous apprennent-elles du champ d’action et d’influence de ces femmes ? Telles sont les questions qui seront abordées au cours de la manifestation scientifique.

  Haïti: An Earthquake for Gender

  This special issue aims at bringing to light scientific knowledge which counterbalances thestereotyping of Haitian and Caribbean women’s rights. For centuries, Haitian women have beendeeply marked by the geostrategic interests of various world powers, and they are still the object of narratives whose androcentrism is explicit. This sp ecial issue will provide an opportunity to debate Haitian women’s varied experiencesthrough new epistemic and political postures, questioning western perceptions of Haiti. Thus, it will contribute to developing research largely based on practices, experiences, ideas, and theories produced in the Caribbean with an awareness for the logics of coloniality. The aim will be to bring to light an emerging literature in Haiti and, more broadly, in the French-speaking Caribbean. It will also place recent changes in the context of structural historicity, what tookplace since 2010 also being explained by structural mutations which began prior to the earthquake.

  This issue of the journal TRANS- will be devoted not to the bridge, but to bridges, be they real or imaginary, painted, sculpted, filmed, recounted or deconstructed. This subject is not exclusive to any time period or genre. It does however require a comparative approach that can take the form of a comparison between different objects – bridges coming from geographies, histories, literatures, or technologies – and can be understood as a meeting point of several approaches, and as the excursion of a scientific perspective in a work of fiction, or an historical approach to a concept.

  This issue seeks to critically address power structures in audiovisual (re)productions in and from Latin America and discuss how these play a role in the societal construction and representation of individual and collective identities, the ‘us’ and the ‘other’. By doing so, it aims at understanding how these representations – and broader discourses associated therewith – can be critically examined through media productions (cinema, television, radio, photography etc.) and their use as historical sources.

  The recognition of women’s place in American societies has become a crucial social, cultural, political and economic issue, as evidenced by worldwide protest movements such as Ni Una Menos that started in Argentina – a feminist movement fighting against feminicides and gender-based violence – or the Women’s March against President Donald Trump in the United States. Whether these protests have to do with the struggle for women’s right to vote, the sexual revolution that started in the 1960s, or social movements denouncing gender-based violence in urban and rural environments, they highlight a continuity between yesterday’s feminist fights and their re-adaptation in the public space.

  Les universités de Bordeaux, Pau et Toulouse, avec la collaboration de la Casa de Velázquez, organisent un séminaire de formation avancé qui propose un examen croisé et pluridisciplinaire des cultures politiques dans la péninsule Ibérique et au Maghreb au Moyen Âge. La session 2018 de l’atelier propose d’étudier la culture et l’expérience politiques au prisme de l’écrit, des écritures du pouvoir. Les renouvellements historiographiques récents permettront d’interroger l’acte d’écrire en le replaçant dans un contexte spécifique, de soupeser le gouvernement et l’administration par l’écrit, le poids de l’écrit dans la culture politique. Les écritures du pouvoir seront envisagées dans toute leur diversité.
